Specifications

The M5000 is an autonomous, battery-powered electromagnetic flow meter offering very high accuracy even at low flow rates. Excellent repeatability combined with long battery life make this innovative water meter an indispensable measuring device for the water market. Typical applications include leak detection in water networks, water consumption measurements and irrigation plant management.
This flowmeter is recommended for all installations with no external power supply, where precise information on water flow and consumption is required. The M5000 can also be used with an external power supply. It can be powered via the factory mains supply in either continuous or alternating mode and, in the event of a problem, automatically switches over to the internal battery. Important data in the converter's memory is then saved continuously.
The M5000 has been designed for harsh environmental conditions. The flowmeter has no moving parts and can be used to measure water containing particles such as sand or gravel.
gravel. The M5000 has IP67 protection (IP68 optional). It can be buried or immersed. The inverter is fitted as standard with an internal data logging function, which can then be read out via infrared or RS232C links with ModBus® RTU protocol. Data can also be transferred via radio or GSM/GPRS to the central server for processing and display. A handheld console enables the M5000 to be checked in operation without interrupting throughput.
