Specifications

The ATEX ZKMX zirconium oxygen analyser and ATEX ZFKX measurement probe make up the in situ zirconium oxygen analyser for controlling combustion in potentially explosive atmospheres. Measuring the oxygen concentration in effluent enables the air/fuel ratio characterizing combustion to be monitored. This is essential for controlling the efficiency and ensuring the safety of the process.

The ZKMX controller is ATEX Zone 1 IIC T6 certified. It can be installed remotely from the sensor, on a stand or on a panel. The controller controls heating and thermoregulation of the probe at 800°C. It measures the sensor signal and transforms it into O2 concentration according to the Nernst equation. The oxygen concentration value is displayed on the screen and can be transmitted to the control station via a 4-20mA signal. In addition, certain system maintenance operations, such as calibration, blowing or sensor regeneration, can be controlled directly from the controller.

The electronics can be operated from the control station using the following functions:

  • Default contacts analyser
  • Alarm contacts (Very Low, Low, High, Very High)
  • Automatic blower: automatic cleaning of the guide tube by blowing in compressed air
  • Automatic calibration
