Integral flow orifice for liquid and gas flow measurement

An integral orifice flow meter is a device used for measuring the fluid flow rate. It measures the volumetric flow rate and speed of liquid or gas as it flows through a pipe. It is a common instrument in the industrial process control industry. The integral flow orifice assembly consists of an orifice plate inside the tube section in line with the main flow stream. A differential pressure transmitter is directly mounted on the orifice assembly. The main advantage is that it eliminates the installation cost with impulse pipes up to the orifice.

Measure low liquid or gas flow rates

measurement of low liquid or gas flows

Designed for safe and easy installation, the Fuji Electric integral orifice will measure very low liquid or gas flow rates in small bore pipes.

It may be bolted directly to FCX DP transmitters or any pressure sensors that uses standard 54mm centres.

The body is machined from a single-piece of 316 SS (or other material) to give high pressure integrity.

Unique design

Its unique design incorporates a "Fuji Electric Collector Ring" to hold the orifice section in place without the use of additional bolts or screws.

Six different orifice section sizes can be fitted without the need for special tools.

The orifice section can be changed without being removed from the pipe.

This significantly increases safety compared with other designs.

The unit is fixed to the pipe using standard oval flanges for ease of maintenance.

If very high accuracy is required, the unit can be fitted to calibrated measurement systems as a complete assembly.

Scope of supply

supplies

Fuji Electric will supply the integral orifice assembly for fitting to the differential pressure transmitter, or a complete system fully calibrated and ready for direct installation into the pipeline.

Devices that may be fitted directly to the integral orifice assembly include dp switches, dp indicators and dp transmitters.

3-valve manifolds may be used with these devices to calibrate zero and enable removal while the line is under pressure.

The dp transmitter can be supplied with square root extraction, analogue or digital indicator, HART communication, Exi, ExN or Exd hazardous area certification and/or NACE specification.

For mass flow, gauge pressure transmitters, or absolute pressure transmitters and temperature sensors can be built into a metered run and supplied complete with a mass flow computer.

One instruction manual is supplied with each shipment.

A full set of drawings and certificates can also be supplied.

Datasheet

The system is supplied according to the following datasheet .
For the various materials, threads and options, please refer to the "Details required" section on the back of the page, or to the detailed technical drawing.

Compatibility with a variety of fluids

The transmitter is designed to be compatible with a wide range of liquids and gases, provided they are compatible with the materials of manufacture. This versatility makes it suitable for a multitude of industrial applications.

Extended Process Pressure Range

With a process pressure range from vacuum to 160 BarG, this transmitter offers exceptional flexibility to adapt to a variety of working environments, even under extreme pressure conditions.

Versatile operating temperature

The transmitter can operate over a wide temperature range, from -40 to +120°C for the process. The ambient temperature depends on the differential pressure transmitter used, ensuring maximum adaptability.

Robust Building Materials

Components in direct contact with the fluid are made of 316 stainless steel, offering exceptional corrosion resistance. The oval flanges are also made of 316 stainless steel, ensuring long-term durability. As an option, alloys such as 630 SS can be chosen for bolts.

Quality joints

Viton and PTFE seals guarantee reliable sealing, even under varying pressure and temperature conditions, contributing to measurement stability and accuracy.

Practical Connections

The transmitter features convenient connections for easy integration into existing systems. Process connection is via oval flanges with 1/2″ NPT threads, offering installation flexibility.

Easy installation and assembly

The transmitter offers direct mounting on 54 mm centers, facilitating installation. Transmitter bolt threads are standard M10, with the option of 7/16 UNF to suit various configurations.
